  1. Ps. 90:1, 2, 17 let

1Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

... let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

  2. II Kings 3:5-7 the (to 2nd ,), 7-11 wilt, 12 So, 14-17, 20

the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

6And king Jehoram went out of Samaria the same time, and numbered all Israel.

7And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.

8And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.

9So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days’ journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.

10And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the Lord hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!

11But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may inquire of the Lord by him? And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.

... So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

... 14And Elisha said, As the Lord of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.

15But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.

16And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches.

17For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

... 20And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

  3. Eph. 4:4, 7 unto, 13, 23 be, 24 that, 25 speak, 32 be

    4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

... unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

... 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

    ... be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

... that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

... speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

... be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

  4. Acts 16:16, 17, 18-20 But, 23, 25-28, 31 Believe, 33, 35

16And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

... But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

19And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

20And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

23And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely:

25And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

27And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

28But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

... Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

... 33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

... 35And when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, Let those men go.

  5. I John 1:3, 4, 5 God

3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

... God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures
by Mary Baker Eddy

  1. SH 515:21 Man

Man is the family name for all ideas, — the sons and daughters of God. All that God imparts moves in accord with Him, reflecting good-24ness and power.

  2. SH 469:30-5

With 470 470:1one Father, even God, the whole family of man would be brethren; and with one Mind and that God, or good, 3the brotherhood of man would consist of Love and Truth, and have unity of Principle and spiritual power which constitute divine Science.

  3. SH 276:1-16

Having one God, one Mind, unfolds the power that heals the sick, and fulfils these sayings of Scripture, “I 3Universal brotherhood am the Lord that healeth thee,” and “I have found a ransom.” When the divine precepts are understood, they unfold the foundation of fellowship, 6in which one mind is not at war with another, but all have one Spirit, God, one intelligent source, in accordance with the Scriptural command: “Let this Mind be in you, 9which was also in Christ Jesus.” Man and his Maker are correlated in divine Science, and real consciousness is cognizant only of the things of God.

12    The realization that all inharmony is unreal brings objects and thoughts into human view in their true light, and presents them as beautiful and immortal. Harmony 15in man is as real and immortal as in music. Discord is unreal and mortal.

  4. SH 475:7-9, 11-14

The Fleshly factors unrealScriptures inform us that man is made in 9the image and likeness of God. ... Man is spiritual and perfect; and be-12cause he is spiritual and perfect, he must be so under-stood in Christian Science. Man is idea, the image, of Love; he is not physique.

  5. SH 295:5-8

God creates and governs the universe, including man. 6The universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He Mortals unlike immortals evolves, and they are obedient to the Mind that makes them.

  6. SH 259:26

Immortal 27ideas, pure, perfect, and enduring, are transmitted by the divine Mind through divine Science, which corrects error with truth and demands spiritual thoughts, divine 30concepts, to the end that they may produce harmonious results.

  7. SH 336:32 God

God is individual and personal in a scientific 337 337:1sense, but not in any anthropomorphic sense. Therefore man, reflecting God, cannot lose his individuality; but as 3Man reflects the perfect Godmaterial sensation, or a soul in the body, blind mortals do lose sight of spiritual individuality. Material personality is not realism; it is not 6the reflection or likeness of Spirit, the perfect God. Sen-sualism is not bliss, but bondage. For true happiness, man must harmonize with his Principle, divine Love; the 9Son must be in accord with the Father, in conformity with Christ. According to divine Science, man is in a degree as perfect as the Mind that forms him. The truth of be-12ing makes man harmonious and immortal, while error is mortal and discordant.

  8. SH 517:15-20, 21-22 This

The world believes in many persons; but if God is per-sonal, there is but one person, because there is but one Divine personalityGod. His personality can only be reflected, 18not transmitted. God has countless ideas, and they all have one Principle and parentage. The only proper symbol of God as person is Mind’s infinite ideal. ... This ideal is God’s own image, spiritual and infinite.

  9. SH 367:24-1

The infinite Truth of the Christ-cure has come to this age through a “still, small voice,” through silent utter-ances and divine anointing which quicken and increase 27the beneficial effects of Christianity. I long to see the consummation of my hope, namely, the student’s higher attainments in this line of light.

30    Because Truth is infinite, error should be known as nothing. Because Truth is omnipotent in goodness, error, Truth’s opposite, has no might. Evil is but the 368 368:1counterpoise of nothingness.

  10. SH 518:15

The rich in spirit help the poor in one grand brotherhood, all having the same Principle, or Father; and blessed is that man who seeth 18his brother’s need and supplieth it, seeking his own in another’s good. Love giveth to the least spiritual idea might, immortality, and goodness, which shine through 21all as the blossom shines through the bud. All the varied expressions of God reflect health, holiness, immortality — infinite Life, Truth, and Love.

  11. SH 519:3

Deity was satisfied with His work. How could He be otherwise, since the spiritual creation was the outgrowth, the emanation, of His infinite self-6containment and immortal wisdom?

  12. SH 267:19-28

When examined in the light of divine Science, mortals present more than is detected upon the surface, since 21Waymarks to eternal Truthinverted thoughts and erroneous beliefs must be counterfeits of Truth. Thought is bor -rowed from a higher source than matter, and 24by reversal, errors serve as waymarks to the one Mind, in which all error disappears in celestial Truth. The robes of Spirit are “white and glistering,” like the raiment 27of Christ. Even in this world, therefore, “let thy gar-ments be always white.”

  13. SH 340:23

One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; con-24stitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, “Love thy neighbor as thyself;” annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry, — whatever is wrong in 27social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.

  14. SH 467:9

It should be thoroughly understood that all men have one Mind, one God and Father, one Life, Truth, and Love. Mankind will become perfect in proportion as this fact 12becomes apparent, war will cease and the true brother-hood of man will be established. Having no other gods, turning to no other but the one perfect Mind to guide 15him, man is the likeness of God, pure and eternal, hav-ing that Mind which was also in Christ.
