The Bible
  1. Rom. 7:22 I

    I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

  2. Rom. 8:1, 5 they, 6, 9 (to 1st .), 15, 16

    1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

    ... they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

    6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

    ... 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

    ... 15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

    16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

  3. John 10:7 I, 9 if, 10 I

    I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

    ... if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

    ... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

  4. Job 11:15 then, 17, 18 (to ;), 19 thou (to ;)

    then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

    ... 17And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

    18And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope;

    ... thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid;

  5. Isa. 30:21 thine, 23 (to ;)

    thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

    ... 23Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal;

  6. Isa. 44:8 (to 1st .)

    8Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses.

  7. Isa. 51:1 look, 3-6 (to 3rd ,), 6 but, 8 my, 11 the

    look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

    ... 3For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

    4Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

    5My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

    6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment,but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

    my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

    the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

  8. Josh. 14:6, 7, 8 I, 10, 11

    6Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh–barnea.

    7Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh–barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.

    ... I wholly followed the Lord my God.

    ... 10And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

    11As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

  9. Matt. 8:14-16

    14And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.

    15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

    16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

  10. Acts 28:3 when, 5, 7 (to ;), 8 the, 9

    when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

    ... 5And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

    ... 7In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius;

    ... the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

    9So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

  11. Phil. 1:27 let (to :), 27 stand

    let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: ... stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures
by Mary Baker Eddy
  1. SH 305:27-29

    Because man is the reflection of his Maker, he is not subject to birth, growth, maturity, de-cay.

  2. SH 258:13-15, 27

        God expresses in man the infinite idea forever develop-ing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from 15a boundless basis.

    Never born and never dying, it were impossible for man, under the government of God in eternal Science, to fall from his 30high estate.

  3. SH 283:13-15, 16

        But what say prevalent theories? They insist that Life, or God, is one and the same with material life so-15called. ... They claim that to be life which is but the objective state of material sense, — 18such as the structural life of the tree and of material man, — and deem this the manifestation of the one Life, God.

  4. SH 191:16-19 (to ?)

        The human thought must free itself from self-imposed Spiritual freedommateriality and bondage. It should no longer 18ask of the head, heart, or lungs: What are man’s prospects for life?

  5. SH 305:6

    Man, in the Human reflectionlikeness of his Maker, reflects the central light of being, the invisible God. As there is no cor -9poreality in the mirrored form, which is but a reflection, so man, like all things real, reflects God, his divine Prin-ciple, not in a mortal body.

  6. SH 311:7-8 (to .)

        Soul is immortal because it is Spirit, which has no ele-ment of self-destruction.

  7. SH 310:31-6 (to 1st .)

    There is neither growth, maturity, nor decay in Soul. These changes are the mutations of material sense, 311 311:1the varying clouds of mortal belief, which hide the truth of being.

    3    What we term mortal mind or carnal mind, dependent on matter for manifestation, is not Mind. God is Mind: all that Mind, God, is, or hath made, is good, and He 6 made all.

  8. SH 318:9-13

    The material senses originate and support all that is material, untrue, selfish, or debased. They would put soul into soil, life into limbo, and doom 12all things to decay. We must silence this lie of material sense with the truth of spiritual sense.

  9. SH 243:4-8, 16-25

        The divine Love, which made harmless the poisonous viper, which delivered men from the boiling oil, from 6Ancient and modern miraclesthe fiery furnace, from the jaws of the lion, can heal the sick in every age and triumph over sin and death.

        The clay cannot reply to the potter. The head, heart, lungs, and limbs do not inform us that they are dizzy, 18Mental telegraphydiseased, consumptive, or lame. If this in-formation is conveyed, mortal mind conveys it. Neither immortal and unerring Mind nor matter, 21the inanimate substratum of mortal mind, can carry on such telegraphy; for God is “of purer eyes than to behold evil,” and matter has neither intelligence nor 24sensation.

        Truth has no consciousness of error.

  10. SH 247:3-7

        I have seen age regain two of the elements it had lost, sight and teeth. A woman of eighty-five, whom I knew, Eyes and teeth renewedhad a return of sight. Another woman at 6ninety had new teeth, incisors, cuspids, bi-cuspids, and one molar.

  11. SH 244:13, 23-28

        Man undergoing birth, maturity, and decay is like the beasts and vegetables, — subject to laws of decay. If 15Man never less than manman were dust in his earliest stage of exist-ence, we might admit the hypothesis that he returns eventually to his primitive condition; 18but man was never more nor less than man.

        Man in Science is neither young nor old. He has 24neither birth nor death. He is not a beast, a vegetable, Man not evolvednor a migratory mind. He does not pass from matter to Mind, from the mortal to the im-27mortal, from evil to good, or from good to evil. Such admissions cast us headlong into darkness and dogma.

  12. SH 250:6

        Mortal existence is a dream; mortal existence has no real entity, but saith “It is I.” Spirit is the Ego which Spirit the one Egonever dreams, but understands all things; 9which never errs, and is ever conscious; which never believes, but knows; which is never born and never dies. Spiritual man is the likeness of this Ego. 12Man is not God, but like a ray of light which comes from the sun, man, the outcome of God, reflects God.

  13. SH 430:7-9, 11

    When man gives up his belief in death, he will advance more rapidly 9towards God, Life, and Love. ... When will mankind wake 12to this great fact in Science?

  14. SH 246:20, 28

    Except for the error of meas-21uring and limiting all that is good and beautiful, man would enjoy more than threescore years and ten and still maintain his vigor, freshness, and promise. Man, 24governed by immortal Mind, is always beautiful and grand. Each succeeding year unfolds wisdom, beauty, and holiness.

    Life and goodness are immortal. True life eternalLet us then shape our views of existence into 30loveliness, freshness, and continuity, rather than into age and blight.

  15. SH 247:13

    Im-mortality, exempt from age or decay, has a glory of its 15own, — the radiance of Soul. Immortal men and women are models of spiritual sense, drawn by perfect Mind and reflecting those higher conceptions of loveliness 18which transcend all material sense.

  16. SH 280:4-6

    From Love and from the light and harmony which are the abode of Spirit, only reflections 6of good can come.

  17. SH 393:8-18

    Mind is the 9master of the corporeal senses, and can conquer sickness, sin, and death. Exercise this God-given authority. Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action. 12Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on 15man.

        Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind governs, and that in Science man reflects God’s govern-18No pain in matterment.
