- Gen. 26:1 2nd And, 2, 12 (to :), 14 3rd and, 16, 17, 19-22 (to :), 26-30, 31 3rd and
And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
2And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
12Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold:
... and the Philistines envied him.
... 16And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.
17¶ And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.
19And Isaac’s servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.
20And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.
21And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.
22And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not:
26¶ Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.
27And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?
28And they said, We saw certainly that the Lord was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
29That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the Lord.
30And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.
... and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.
- Josh. 6:1, 2, 6-8, 10, 12, 14, 15 (to :), 16, 20, 27 (to ;)
1Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
2And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
6¶ And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord.
7And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the Lord.
8¶ And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns passed on before the Lord, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them.
10And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
12¶ And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the Lord.
... 14And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
15And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times:
... 16And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the Lord hath given you the city.
20So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
27So the Lord was with Joshua;
- Isa. 42:9 (to :), 16
9Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare:
... 16And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
- John 8:31, 32
31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
- Mark 8:22-25
22¶ And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught.
24And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
- Phil. 3:13-15
13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

Science shows that material, conflicting mortal opin-30ions and beliefs emit the effects of error at all times, but this atmosphere of mortal mind cannot be destructive to morals and health when it is opposed promptly and per-274274:1sistently by Christian Science. Truth and Love antidote this mental miasma, and thus invigorate and sustain ex-3Material knowledge illusiveistence.

- SH 20:27
- SH 367:3, 30-4
The tender word and Christian encouragement of an invalid, pitiful patience with his fears and the removal of them, are better than 6hecatombs of gushing theories, stereotyped borrowed speeches, and the doling of arguments, which are but so many parodies on legitimate Christian Science, aflame 9with divine Love.
Because Truth is infinite, error should be known as nothing. Because Truth is omnipotent in goodness, error, Truth’s opposite, has no might. Evil is but the 368 368:1counterpoise of nothingness. The greatest wrong is but a supposititious opposite of the highest right. The 3Real and counterfeitconfidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal.
- SH 462:1
Some individu-als assimilate truth more readily than others, but any 3Rapidity of assimilationstudent, who adheres to the divine rules of Christian Science and imbibes the spirit of Christ, can demonstrate Christian Science, cast out 6error, heal the sick, and add continually to his store of spiritual understanding, potency, enlightenment, and success.
- SH 14:12-18
Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual, — neither in nor of Spiritualized consciousnessmatter, — and the body will then utter no 15complaints. If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well. Sorrow is turned into joy when the body is controlled by spir-18itual Life, Truth, and Love.
- SH 4:17-22
- SH 462:15
- SH 302:3-4, 8-9, 14-18, 19
The material body and mind are temporal, but the real man is spiritual and eternal. ... It is impossible that man should lose 9aught that is real, when God is all and eternally his.
Continuing our definition of man, let us remember that 15harmonious and immortal man has existed forever, and Definition of manis always beyond and above the mortal illu-sion of any life, substance, and intelligence 18as existent in matter. ... The Science of being reveals man as perfect, even as the Father is perfect, because the Soul, or Mind, 21of the spiritual man is God, the divine Principle of all being, and because this real man is governed by Soul instead of sense, by the law of Spirit, not by the so-called 24laws of matter.
- SH 215:12-24
Whatever is governed by God, is never for an instant deprived of the light and might of intelligence and Life.
15 We are sometimes led to believe that darkness is as real as light; but Science affirms darkness to be only a mortal Light and darknesssense of the absence of light, at the coming of 18which darkness loses the appearance of reality. So sin and sorrow, disease and death, are the suppositional absence of Life, God, and flee as phantoms of error before 21truth and love.
With its divine proof, Science reverses the evidence of material sense. Every quality and condition of mortality 24is lost, swallowed up in immortality.
- SH 325:13-15
- SH 417:10-16
- SH 470:13-18 If, 23-24, 32
If God, or good, is real, then evil, the unlikeness of God, is unreal. And evil can 15only seem to be real by giving reality to the unreal. The children of God have but one Mind. How can good lapse into evil, when God, the Mind of man, 18never sins?
Man is the expression 24of God’s being.
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and 471 471:1idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine 3order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He cre-ates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
