- Isa. 33:5, 10, 20-22, 24
5The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
... 10Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
20Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
21But there the glorious Lord will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.
22For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.
... 24And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
- Gen. 14:18, 19 2nd and, 20 (to 1st .)
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
... and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.
- Gen. 15:1 the
the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
- John 3:22 (to ;)
22¶ After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa;
- John 4:31-35
31¶ In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him aught to eat?
34Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
- John 14:12 (to 1st ;)
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;
- Acts 14:8-10 there, 19, 20 (to :)
there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
19¶ And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city:
- Acts 15:4, 7-11, 13-15, 35
4And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
13¶ And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
... 35Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
- Heb. 7:19 the
the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
- Isa. 65:17-20 (to :), 21-24, 25 They
17¶ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days:
... 21And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
24And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
... They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.

When we realize that there is one Mind, the divine law Redemption from selfishnessof loving our neighbor as ourselves is unfolded; 24whereas a belief in many ruling minds hinders man’s normal drift towards the one Mind, one God, and leads human thought into opposite channels 27where selfishness reigns.
When we fully understand our relation to the Divine, 206 206:1we can have no other Mind but His, — no other Love, wisdom, or Truth, no other sense of Life, and no con-3sciousness of the existence of matter or error.

Through false estimates of soul as dwelling in sense 15and of mind as dwelling in matter, belief strays into a Soul impeccablesense of temporary loss or absence of soul, spir-itual truth. ... So long as we believe that soul can sin or that immortal Soul is in 21mortal body, we can never understand the Science of be-ing. When humanity does understand this Science, it will become the law of Life to man, — even the higher law 24of Soul, which prevails over material sense through har-mony and immortality.

We cannot deny that Life is self-sustained, and we should never deny the everlasting harmony of Soul, sim-6Ultimate harmonyply because, to the mortal senses, there is seem-ing discord. It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and 9the right understanding of Him restores harmony.
Rise in the conscious strength of the 391 391:1spirit of Truth to overthrow the plea of mortal mind, alias matter, arrayed against the supremacy of Spirit. 3Blot out the images of mortal thought and its beliefs in sickness and sin.

Human will is an Will-power an animal propensityanimal propensity, not a faculty of Soul. 6Hence it cannot govern man aright. Chris-tian Science reveals Truth and Love as the motive-powers of man. Will — blind, stubborn, and head-9long — cooperates with appetite and passion. From this cooperation arises its evil. From this also comes its pow-erlessness, since all power belongs to God, good.
Human theories are helpless to make 15man harmonious or immortal, since he is so already, according to Christian Science. Our only need is to know this and reduce to practice the real man’s di-18vine Principle, Love.
- SH 265:1-15
Man is the off-spring, not of the lowest, but of the highest qualities of 3Godward gravitationMind. Man understands spiritual existence in proportion as his treasures of Truth and Love are enlarged. Mortals must gravitate Godward, 6their affections and aims grow spiritual, — they must near the broader interpretations of being, and gain some proper sense of the infinite, — in order that sin and mortality 9may be put off.
This scientific sense of being, forsaking matter for Spirit, by no means suggests man’s absorption into Deity 12 and the loss of his identity, but confers upon man en-larged individuality, a wider sphere of thought and action, a more expansive love, a higher and more permanent 15peace.
