- Ps. 119:165
165Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
- Isa. 25:1 (to 1st ;), 4 thou, 7 he
1O Lord, thou art my God;
... thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.
- II Kings 6:8-23
8¶ Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
9And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.
10And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
11Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
12And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
13¶ And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
14Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
15And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
18And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19¶ And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
20And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
21And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
22And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.
23And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.
- Isa. 65:17 behold, 21-23
behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
... 21And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
- Luke 4:14, 33-35, 41
14¶ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
33¶ And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
41And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
- II Tim. 3:14 continue
continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
- Ps. 43:3, 4 (to :)
3O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy:

When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling 15steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His Steadfast and calm trust likeness to abide in your thought. Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and 18calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious — as Life eternally is — can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not.

We must look deep Ontology neededinto realism instead of accepting only the out-24ward sense of things. Can we gather peaches from a pine-tree, or learn from discord the concord of being? Yet quite as rational are some of the leading 27illusions along the path which Science must tread in its reformatory mission among mortals. The very name, illusion, points to nothingness.
- SH 411:27-1
Always begin your treatment by allaying the fear of patients. Silently reassure them as to their exemp-Unspoken pleadingtion from disease and danger. Watch the re-30sult of this simple rule of Christian Science, and you will find that it alleviates the symptoms of every disease. If you succeed in wholly removing the fear, 412 412:1your patient is healed.
- SH 380:32
Every law of matter or the body, supposed to govern 381 381:1man, is rendered null and void by the law of Life, God. Ignorant of our God-given rights, we submit to unjust 3Ignorance of our rightsdecrees, and the bias of education enforces this slavery. Be no more willing to suffer the illusion that you are sick or that some disease is develop-6ing in the system, than you are to yield to a sinful temp-tation on the ground that sin has its necessities.
- SH 248:12-17, 19-21, 25
The sculptor turns from the marble to his model in order to perfect his conception. We are all sculptors, Mental sculptureworking at various forms, moulding and chisel-15ing thought. What is the model before mortal mind? Is it imperfection, joy, sorrow, sin, suffering? Have you accepted the mortal model? ... Do you not hear from all mankind of the imperfect model? The world is holding 21it before your gaze continually.
To remedy this, we must first turn our gaze in the right direction, and then walk that way. We must form perfect 27Perfect modelsmodels in thought and look at them continually, or we shall never carve them out in grand and noble lives. Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, 30health, holiness, love — the kingdom of heaven — reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear.
- SH 519:3, 14
Deity was satisfied with His work. How could He be otherwise, since the spiritual creation was the outgrowth, the emanation, of His infinite self-6containment and immortal wisdom?
Mortals 15can never know the infinite, until they throw off the old man and reach the spiritual image and likeness. What can fathom infinity! How shall we declare Him, till, 18in the language of the apostle, “we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the ful-21ness of Christ”?
- SH 214:28
Neither age nor accident can interfere with the senses of Soul, 30and there are no other real senses. It is evident that the body as matter has no sensation of its own, and there is no oblivion for Soul and its faculties. Spirit’s senses are with-215215:1out pain, and they are forever at peace. Nothing can hide from them the harmony of all things and the might and 3permanence of Truth.
- SH 403:14-20
You command the situation if you understand that 15mortal existence is a state of self-deception and not the Error’s power imaginarytruth of being. Mortal mind is constantly producing on mortal body the results of false 18opinions; and it will continue to do so, until mortal error is deprived of its imaginary powers by Truth, which sweeps away the gossamer web of mortal illusion.
- SH 414:19-23, 25-28
The Christian Scien-tist’s argument rests on the Christianly scientific basis of 21being. The Scripture declares, “The Lord He is God [good]; there is none else beside Him.” Even so, harmony is universal, and discord is unreal. ... Hold these points strongly in view. Keep in mind the verity of being, — that man is 27the image and likeness of God, in whom all being is painless and permanent.
