15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

17¶And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
- Luke 10:25-37
25¶And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
- Luke 7:11-16
11¶And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
12Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
13And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
- Mark 16:15 Go
- John 14:12-14
- II Chron 1:7-12 (to ;)
7In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
9Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
11And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
- II Cor 1:2-4
2Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

6 The beautiful in character is also the
good, welding indissolubly the links of affec-
tion. A mother's affection cannot be weaned from her
9child, because the mother-love includes purity and con-
stancy, both of which are immortal. Therefore maternal
affection lives on under whatever difficulties.12From the logic of events we learn that selfishness
and impurity alone are fleeting, and that wisdom will
ultimately put asunder what she hath not joined
15together. - S&H 39:18
18"Now," cried the apostle, "is the accepted time; be-
hold, now is the day of salvation," ” meaning, not that
Present
salvation now men must prepare for a future-world salva-
21tion, or safety, but that now is the time in which
to experience that salvation in spirit and in life. Now is
the time for so-called material pains and material pleas-
24ures to pass away, for both are unreal, because impossible
in Science. To break this earthly spell, mortals must get
the true idea and divine Principle of all that really exists
27and governs the universe harmoniously. This thought is
apprehended slowly, and the interval before its attain-
ment is attended with doubts and defeats as well as
30triumphs. - S&H 117:29-12
Jesus bade his disciples beware of the leaven of the
Leaven
of Truth 30Pharisees and of the Sadducees, which he de-
fined as human doctrines. His parable of the
"leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures
118:1of meal, till the whole was leavened," impels the infer-
ence that the spiritual leaven signifies the Science of Christ
3and its spiritual interpretation, ” an inference far above
the merely ecclesiastical and formal applications of the
illustration.6Did not this parable point a moral with a prophecy,
foretelling the second appearing in the flesh of the
Christ, Truth, hidden in sacred secrecy from the visi-
9ble world?Ages pass, but this leaven of Truth is ever at work. It
must destroy the entire mass of error, and so be eternally
12glorified in man's spiritual freedom. - S&H 54:1-10
54:1 Through the
magnitude of his human life, he demonstrated the divine
3Life. Out of the amplitude of his pure affection, he de-
fined Love. With the affluence of Truth, he vanquished
error. The world acknowledged not his righteousness,
6seeing it not; but earth received the harmony his glorified
example introduced. - S&H 10:5-6
- S&H 1:1
1:1The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the
sick is an absolute faith that all things are
3possible to God, ” a spiritual understanding of Him,
an unselfed love. Regardless of what another may say
or think on this subject, I speak from experience.
6Prayer, watching, and working, combined with self-im-
molation, are God's gracious means for accomplishing
whatever has been successfully done for the Christian-
9ization and health of mankind. - S&H 380:22-28
Many years ago the author made a spiritual discov-
ery, the scientific evidence of which has accumulated to
A higher
discovery 24prove that the divine Mind produces in man
health, harmony, and immortality. Gradu-
ally this evidence will gather momentum and clearness,
27until it reaches its culmination of scientific statement and
proof.
- S&H 191:8
As a material, theoretical life-basis is found to be a
9misapprehension of existence, the spiritual and divine
The immortal
birth Principle of man dawns upon human thought,
and leads it to "where the young child was,"
12 ” even to the birth of a new-old idea, to the spiritual
sense of being and of what Life includes. Thus the whole
earth will be transformed by Truth on its pinions of light,
15chasing away the darkness of error. - S&H 261:24-1
24 Breaking away from the
mutations of time and sense, you will neither
lose the solid objects and ends of life nor your own iden-
27tity. Fixing your gaze on the realities supernal, you will
rise to the spiritual consciousness of being, even as the bird
which has burst from the egg and preens its wings for a
30skyward flight. - S&H 202:3-13
3The scientific unity which exists between God and man
must be wrought out in life-practice, and God's will must
be universally done.6If men would bring to bear upon the study of the
Science of Mind half the faith they bestow upon the so-
Divine
study called pains and pleasures of material sense,
9they would not go on from bad to worse,
until disciplined by the prison and the scaffold; but
the whole human family would be redeemed through
12the merits of Christ, ” through the perception and ac-
ceptance of Truth.
- S&H 276:12-14, 17
If God is admitted to be the only Mind and Life,
18there ceases to be any opportunity for sin and death.
Perfection
requisite When we learn in Science how to be perfect
even as our Father in heaven is perfect,
21thought is turned into new and healthy channels, ”
towards the contemplation of things immortal and away
from materiality to the Principle of the universe, includ-
24ing harmonious man. - S&H 103:6-9
- S&H 158:24-25
- S&H 348:26
I have never supposed the world would immediately
27witness the full fruitage of Christian Science, or that sin,
Full fruitage
yet to come disease, and death would not be believed for
an indefinite time; but this I do aver, that,
30as a result of teaching Christian Science, ethics and
temperance have received an impulse, health has been
restored, and longevity increased. If such are the pres-
349:1ent fruits, what will the harvest be, when this Science is
more generally understood? - S&H 55:15-22
15Truth's immortal idea is sweeping down the centuries,
gathering beneath its wings the sick and sinning. My
weary hope tries to realize that happy day, when man shall
18recognize the Science of Christ and love his neighbor as
himself, ” when he shall realize God's omnipotence and
the healing power of the divine Love in what it has done
21and is doing for mankind. The promises will be ful-
filled.
