The eastern side of the main church building has a basement area entered from this stairwell. The basement was originally used for the Sunday School, and later for the Children's Room. After the Children's Room was moved into the Sunday School building, the basement became a storage area. |

The main building is joined to the Sunday School/Reading Room building by this “breezeway”. Originally, before the Sunday School/Reading Room building was built in the 1950s, there was a drive-through passenger unloading/loading area here. |

The giant oak tree in the parking lot was a much-loved landmark for decades, one of the largest oak trees in the neighborhood. Botanically, it was a Coast Live Oak, or Quercus agrifolia, native to and common in coastal areas of Southern California. Much of La CaƱada Flintridge was originally an oak woodland. Regrettably, our oak reached the end of it's useful life, and was removed in November 2013. |
